5-26-02....... We are in Des Moines, See you soon!
5-19-02....... Well, June 1st is coming soon and we are behind schedule for closing on our house. We will be pushing it to get back to Des Moines by may 26th like we had planned. We are learning to be more patient. Once we get the closing on the house done we will be closer to seeing you. Heidi and I are looking forward to seeing you'all, can't wait.
Heidi and I are living in College Station, Texas. It is the home of The University of Texas A&M, The Fighting Aggies. We have been living here since August of 2001. You might be asking yourself why would two midwesterners want to move south to Texas. Well the answer is simple. Texas A&M offers an outstanding Marine Biology program for Heidi to work on her Masters and Doctorate. As for me, I am still working on my flight ratings and I can do that just about anywhere there is an airport.
This summer, after our reception in Des Moines, Heidi and I will be going to Alaska where we are going to start some of Heidi's research. We (along with other volunteers) will be collecting data on sea otters. It will take place in the area of Prince William Sound. We will be stationed out of Cordova, Alaska. We will also try to do some sight seeing before the research starts. So we will have a little Honey-Moon in Alaska. While up there, I would like to get some mountain flight training if time and weather permit it. We would also like to see some whales while we are in Alaska.

Heidi and Chris
Heidi was born in Clinton, Iowa. She grew up in Iowa and Nebraska. She graduated high school in Urbandale, IA. She then went on to attend college at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. After graduation, Heidi worked in research at the Duke Medical Center and Pioneer Hi-Bred, and taught at Drake University. Heidi also taught piano lessons in North Carolina and Iowa.

Chris was born in Worthington, Minnesota. He grew up in Minnesota and South Dakota. He graduated from Andes Central High School in Lake Andes, SD. After high school, Chris attended college at Augustana College. After college, Chris work 5 years for Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota as a Adolescent Counselor in a group home setting. Chris has also dabbled in Credit Card Fraud Investigations and Bartending.

Chris is a bartender/manager at Shadow Canyon and Alfred T. Hornback's. One is a Dance Club and the other is a Pool Hall.
